The Process: During pregnancy, the body releases a hormone called Relaxin, which softens the ligaments to prepare for birth.

The Result: This can lead to instability in the SI joint (sacroiliac) and lower back. Our therapy focuses on neuromuscular stabilization—using specific exercises to "brace" the joints with muscle strength where the ligaments have become too flexible.

The Process: Repetitive lifting of a newborn and hormonal fluid retention can cause the tendons at the base of the thumb to swell.
